Clinically Proven for Significant Pain Relief

In a randomized, double-blind placebo clinical study, conducted at the renowned Scripps Pain Institute by a respected team of doctors: Dr. Joseph Shurman, Dr. Brenda K. Wiederhold, Dr. Roger Kasendorf, Dr. John Qian, and Dr. Mark D. Wiederhold, Oska Pulse was validated as an effective tool in pain attenuation.

The controlled trial with 30 patients (diagnosed with knee, shoulder, or back pain) recruited from two San Diego area pain clinics has recorded the majority of its participants achieving a significant pain reduction with Oska Pulse.

More important results to note from this study are as follows:

  • No patients using the real Oska Pulse had an increase in pain.
  • Those who used the placebo device showed no change in their reported pain level.

In another study, Tiziano Marovino, DPT, MPH, DAIPM has conducted a mini trial at a free-standing outpatient chronic pain center in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where a multi-disciplinary approach is utilized to treat persistent pain. Meant to provide a review of the Oska Pulse for the Practical Pain Management website, the study‘s main objective is to test the device in a controlled environment with as many clinical conditions as possible.

The short-term trial participated by 26 patients included brief exposures to the device in a clinical setting, for approximately 30 minutes per day, twice a week. On average, patients used the device three to five times in total at the site of pain.

Overall, the trial confirmed that the Oska Pulse performs quite well in a clinical setting, and is a cost-effective option for self-managed pain care.
